Welcome to the historic Creamery Inn located in Downsville, WI.
Located 10 minutes south of Menomonie and 25 minutes west of Eau Claire, the historic and charming Creamery Inn is located on County Rd C in Downsville, WI. Originally built in 1904, it operated as a cooperative creamery for the first 50 years. In the mid 80's, the building was completely renovated and operated as a restaurant and inn for over 30 years.
In summer 2019, happen chance led Adam and Sheri to find the Creamery for sale. They immediately fell in love with the building the first time they saw it. In November 2019, Adam and Sheri purchased the Creamery both as their future home and as a business and have been working on on-going renovations ever since. In September 2021, they had their wedding (or as they called it, a backyard bash) here at the Creamery. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter and in 2024 their son has now joined them in this adventure along with their dog Porter.
With no exact plans when purchasing it, it now operates as event space, guest rooms, and they will be opening up a boutique in the Spring 2024.
The Creamery is open as a versatile event space, perfect for weddings and other private events. With seating capacity of up to 85 people inside and ample space for outdoor seating on both the patio and large backyard grass space, it's the ideal location for your next special occasion. Currently, the venue is set up to allow you to cater your own food and beverages, providing flexibility for your event planning.
The Creamery Inn offers 5 fully furnished guest rooms (studio apartments) located on the second floor, perfect for traveling professionals or anyone looking for month-to-month rentals (currently no nightly rentals). Each room includes a private bathroom, kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, and access to free laundry machines on the same floor. All rooms have large south-facing windows with breathtaking views of the Red Cedar Valley.
Located close to the Red Cedar State Trail (biking) and Red Cedar River (kayaking), you'll have plenty of options for fun activities. Once you experience the charming, scenic, and quiet town of Downsville at the historic Creamery Inn you won’t want to leave.
